AOR - Next Stop: L.A. On this album there is tracks from the 80´s and some from today. Frederic Slama who plays the guitar and keyboard has also written all songs and produced the album. My favorite is track 7 "Teach Me How To Love You Again" 8/10 / Bengt
In my opinion this project with Frédéric Slama called AOR is overrated! A project that looks very impressing "on the paper" with all famous names that features on the record. The only interesting thing about the impressing artists on the CD's is that it makes a smile on Your face when You realise that "those artists obviosuly is STILL in the business and are recording music!" But when You HEAR the result it sounds a lot like music that goes in inside of one of my ears and out of the other ear! And so far (to this day in 2006) I feel the same for ALL of the AOR-CD's that has been released! If You're not a millionaire: Spend Your money and buy other great CD's instead with much better quality!
The group name might give you a hint of what kind of music this CD contains. Pure AOR but of the softer persuasion. Most of these 12 songs could be taken from any movie-score of the 80’s. It sounds a little like Michael English, Poco or an uptempo version of Sade. Beautiful, romantic and well performed without any edges at all. Perfect background music for the last hour of any teenage date.
i am very interested in buying my own copy of the aor c.d. next stop: l.a. could you assist me in any way about how i could find and purchase a copy. thanks l.p.
