This is a very smooth album.Great production by Rippington fame Russ Freeman and former Rufus member André Fischer along with Carl Anderson.Here Carl delivers an outstanding cover of the Michael Ruff/Henrik Jansson song"Lover´s Mask" far better than I ever heard Ruff do it himself.Carl Anderson is surely missed but his music will live on forever.
Best remembered as Judas in the film Jesus Christ Superstar, Carl Anderson was a truly underatted singer who never had a hit single (except for his duet with Gloria Loring) This CD is one of his best with renditions of songs by artists he had previously worked with: David Foster (If Not for Love) and Kenny Loggins (Love Will Follow) both collabrated on a song on Loggins' Vox Humana album for which he sang backup with members of Earth Wind & Fire. Carl may have "gone to see the Lord after a bout with leukimia" as his website says but he really hasn't gone away...
