Great album, from the first "Heaven on Earth" who is a very nice uptempo AOR/Pop song. Then it's slow down a little with some really great ballads, the super "I Must Be Blind" and the heartmelting "Caught Inside Your Heart".I must say that I really love this album, it has such high class and it's consistent throught the whole album. The production is remarkable good and Mark Williamson has a great feeling, especial in the ballads.
In my honest opinion 'Bridge 2 Far' is one of the best AOR/Westcoast albums ever. Not a bad track amongst the whole album. Always a joy to play and I would always have it amongst my recommendations to anyone interested in the genres of AOR and Westcoast.
heaven on earth: the best hall & oates song, not written by hall & oates
Bridge 2 Far was a great project who only made one album. With the great vocalist Mark Williamson and studio drummer John "JR" Robinson backed up by the whole L.A. studio maffia. Favourites? The up tempo song "Heaven On Earth", "I Must be Blind" and "We Got Away" - the last one before recorded by Agnetha Fältskog on one of her albums "I Stand Alone"!
Probably one of the most underated AOR cds of all time, With a killer michael mcdonald flavoured track called "Straight to the Heart". If you love this cd you should check out the solo cd by the lead singer Mark Williamson called "Time Slipping By" featuring every well known L.A.session muso and then some, Excellent!!
Muy buen disco de Aor/Westcoast, los temas con un feeling increíble y muy elegantes por ej: 1, 2, 5, 7. A lo Plantet 3/ Clif Magness/ Think Out Loud. Un disco para enamorar y enamorarse (a mi mujer y a mi nos encanta !).
