Your comments about this record:

This often overlooked gem defines mellow AOR/WC music. After his absolutely fantastic first solo album “Blame It On The Night” (also highly recommended) Robert Byrne teamed up with Brandon Barnes. The album offers many relaxing midtempo groovers like the title track and several wonderful ballads (“Standby Lover”, “One More Try For Love”). Robert Byrne also worked as a songwriter and producer for Rick Bowles. So if you like Rick Bowles’ two albums you will surely like “An Eye For An Eye” as well and vice versa.

great west-coast pop gem. One of the best of his genre. Byrne is the prince of blue sophisticated ballads...

Byrne & barnes is awesome, i like over all "love you out of your mind", for me, this song cross the cuality of music

Anyway, this album is wonderful. However, CD put on the market in Japan is too bad the sound and very regrettable. A politer reprint is expected.

No need to add anything, yes it's a wonderfull album, my favorite cut beeing "never gonna stop living you". But I have a question for you guys: is anybody having the original LP ? I wonder if it sounds a little weak, like the jap cd version...

Original lp soung great. My favorites sexy & sophisticated track "love you out of your mind" and also "keep on running" for similar mitempo groover by 80'soul/AOR artist you can go to listen "sex & soul by moog-ly " at moog-ly.com. thanks
