My favourite record from 1991. This was perfect adult orientated pop 'n roll for the 90s with great lyrics and songs never to bettered. Soulful and heartfelt. A blessing! Love the duet with Bonnie Raitt on the title track. If you 're not yet into Paul Brady music: just go ahead. "A pleasing singer with a well-worn voice" (allmusic.com). Some say the nameless singers that sang his songs did a better job (Bonnie Raitt, Tina Turner, Cher, Joe Cocker, Carol King, Ronan Keating even) but he's an artist in his own right, that is well worth hearing.
This man has a great voice!! He reminds me of Michael Sembello´s better days...
Fantastic album! Every song is rock solid. I just love the song "You and I". The refrain is incredible.
Year this one is really beautiful, and actually I think he is even better than Joe Cocker, Carol King etc.
