This record, Bish's first album for Warner Bros., is arguably the "darkest" of his albums. Producer Mike Manieri and a cast of NY greats contribute to the "edgier" and more melancholic tracks on the album, while Tommy LiPuma and his LA compadres contrast the NY stuff with typical California sunshine. A true classic, now available from CD Baby!
Bishop's first three albums are all masterpieces in their own way. Each of them have their own sound and identity. This one is fun, groovy, melancholic where Bishop shows more of his musical uniquness. Luckily, "Wounded Bird" re-released this one in 2007:)
