Your comments about this record:

This album marks the end of the Foster/Warren years and - I think - it is often overlooked by fans of the AOR/Westcoast genre although it definitely plays in the same league as its predecessor, the much acclaimed "19". With its twelve songs it might seem rather lengthy, but it really deserves a listen! Perfectly arranged, this relatively AOR-dominated longplayer features some great songs - and I do NOT only mean "hits" like "Explain It To My Heart", "Chasin' The Wind" and "You Come To My Senses" BUT ALSO the relatively unknown "If It Were You", "Somebody Somewhere" and "Only Time Can Heal The Wounded" (to name but three!). If I were you, I'd give this album a chance!" ****

This 1991 release from Chicago was a nice effort, despite it not producing any major hits. It has its share of ballads "Explain it to My Heart", as well as "Chasin the Wind" from the Tom Cruise film Days of Thunder and another ballad "Man To Woman" and "You Come to My Senses". Those are good songs but I really got into the more harmonious songs, such "One from the Heart" and the Jason Scheff "What Does it Take?" and the Robert Lamm "Who Do You Love?" The album is a good effort and combines the mix of keyboards, guitars and the classic brass sound that is Chicago.

Of all of Chicago's albums '19' & '21' are my favourites. I do like tracks off their other releases & I did like 'XXX' but these two are classics as far as I am concerned. Pure Westcoast crossover into AOR territory.
