What a fabulous aching soul voice the man has! (you know it from Mike & The Mechanisc's "Silent Running (Can You Hear Me)" & "Living Years", Squeeze's "Tempted", Ace's "How Long?", his own "Don't Shed A Tear", etc..) This is quality soulful westcoast pop here! All songs are well-written, produced and played like the should-be-hit-singles "Nothin' To Lose", "Happy To See You Again", "She Lived Down The Street", etc.. This competes with BLUE VIEWS as his best solo disc.
