It's great to hear the Motown classics sung by someone as brilliant as Peter Cox. He puts his own interpretation on them and gives them new life.Five stars all the way.
The motown diehards will probably hate it but for someone to have the guts to record these classics is great news for the rest of us. Pete gets better with age and this cd shows off his vocal ability.You have to listen to this more than a few times because you keep comparing it to the original artists, however when you get over this you can really enjoy it. It's nice to see some good musical arrangments and they keep the original motown feel and sound, yet still give you a new dimension on the original recordings. Peter has been brave in taking these tracks on and lesser artists would have failed. Nice to see Phil Taylor and Richie Barrett supporting again,all in all a difficult job well done.
