I totally agree with Janne. This album was a like a myth for a long time.Extremely hard to find on LP and expensive. But as always...Thanks to Japan it was released on CD.Without Japan we all would be forced to listen to...... I don´t dare to finsih my thought.Magic background vocals by Richard Page and Steve George. Get it while / if You can.Don´t miss this one !
This is one of the best records ever. Got it from a friend in Japan. This record has it all. All songs are totally outstanding. I must recommend it.All songs are really enjoyfull. the only problem is that its really hard to to find it. but if, good luck and enjoy a classic record.
It is with the saddest of hearts that we write this news ... our dear friend Roby has moved on to make his music, tell his stories, share his humor and his love for all mankind in heaven with his Jesus ... he passed away on Wed., Dec. 26,2007. Just 2 days earlier, on Christmas Eve, his son Brantley shared the stage with him for his final gig ... he was happy and peaceful and so proud of that moment.
I want the CD "Come Let Us Reason" so badly. If there is anyone who will help me find it I would be so grateful. I first heard Roby briefly when I was 25 years old. Now I am 47 and know for sure what I've missed. I had longed to know Roby and his music more closely for quite some time.
Roby Duke's second album. His first one "Not the Same" is a milestone in the westcoast-genre. In this album he continues to make westcaostmusic, but still the album has a different feel to it. It has a thicker, and more "rockier" sound. I think his first two albums really shows what westcoast is all about, and what different music that goes into this genre. Roby Duke is absolutely recommended.
Found the LP at a reasonable price in a well known online auction store at last. Cannot believe that this guy somehow sidestepped me 25 years ago... I'm in utter dismay that I hadn't a clou way back in '84 that this kind of music did exist. But I'll make up for it now. Especially love the explicit Christian lyrics. Musically somewhere between Toto and Jay Graydon. Roby sounds like Jo Williams always longed to sound like ;-)
