This album is the best mid 80's CCM album, thus almost all of lyrics written by Tommy are very spiritual. But, music written by Bob Wilson are very sophisticated and well-produced/arranged with good 80's Westcoast pop feeling.
sometimes, musically this sounds quite like the old white heart albums. Dan huff (who was in the originl white heart line-up) plays guitar here of course. Otherwise it's definately very different with very atmospheric sounds. My favorite songs are 'Silent Night', 'Tonight' and 'The Promise' which has an amazing break at about 2 minutes into the song. It's quite tough to find on cd. I read at tommy funderburk's myspace that this album was one of the first (in the christian music scene) that was released on the compact disc format in 1985 so presumably there is a USA cd release from the original time aswell the Japan re-issue Still rare. Great album. A real classic.
I have the Cool Sound records japanese reissue of this cd. I think this one is out of print, so if you see this one grab it. It´s a good cd and it will grow on you from the first listen. Good vocal work from Tommy Funderburk, but I prefeer What If project among this. A good one anyway.
The original recording was made and distributed by Benson Music Group in 1985.
