This album is a real gem.Glad is a christian band from the US.They are well known for the skillfull singing and vocal arrangements. When I listen to this album I get the feeling that Glad were very influenced of Pages and there 3rd album. The guys in Glad can really sing. The vocal intro of the first song-Good News- is amazing.Great production .This really sounds like classic westcoast.Higly recommended album
Found this gem in a well known online auction store at last and I'm so GLAD! This is definitely the music we love: great tunes, lyrics to ponder on, if you don't mind the christian background. Cannot believe they didn't do more.
What a surprise ! This is really not your average CCM record. It's got everything: the writing, the singing, the playing and most important, the sound. I would too compare it to Pages. Though, some other influences can be found in this masterpiece. As an example, the song "savior" really seems out of the third (or should I say dreamed ?) album from the bliss band. And as I'm thinking about "captured in time", I think the best example if you need to imagine this record and its sound is the second Nielsen/Pearson (no title) album. A fabulous record that is not yet on this great site. You should also probably know, if you like this one, that the previous album from Glad, "beyond a star" is also really really good. The follow up, "once and for all" is also worth purchasing. But as you already understood, this one is really their best effort so far in the little weird world of CCM...
