Your comments about this record:

After this solo album, Tim Goodman cut his long hair, and pursued a country career as lead singer of Southern Pacific, a country/rock band led by former Creedence Clearwater Revival bassist Stu Cook. Tim Goodman sang on the songs 'Perfect Stranger,' 'Thing About You,' a duet with Emmylou Harris in addition to the Emmylou Harris tribute song 'A Girl Like Emmylou.' Tim Goodman was the guy who looked most like John Fogerty, wearing the bandana, flannel-colored pearl snap shirt, blue jeans and boots.

John McFee of The Doobie Brothers produced this lp by Tim Goodman which was released in '81. Southern Pacific formed in '83. The core of country/rock/alt country band Southern Pacific was John McFee, Tim Goodman, Stu Cook from Creedence Clearwater Revial and ex-Doobies drummer Keith Knudsen. They are best known for hits such as "Thing About You," a duet with Emmylou Harris and the song "Any Way the Wind Blows" in 1989, which was heard in the film Pink Cadillac starring Clint Eastwood and Bernadette Peters. Additionally, the song "New Shade of Blue" was released in 1988 and was their highest-ranking single on the country charts in November of that year.
