Last weekend I thought I had for sure gone off the deep.... I was out my Mothers house and auctually enjoying her easy listening- Jango. I ordered it and it is Amazing. This is a CD you can listen to over and over... Even if you are not over thirty. Ordinarily I would not admit to such a dull flair in my music tastes but this album is an absolute masterpiece. Jango is here to stay.
OK...It's now 2008...election day, in fact. Two weeks ago I heard a cut on my WiFi radio called "City Of The 2nd Chance". It blew me away, and I ordered the Jango CD immediately! As a long time Steely Dan fan and a lifetime musician (keyboards)I heard everything I loved on the Dreamtown CD. I hope these guys are still around. This CD should have been brought to my attention much sooner, since it was obviously released in 1999. Why is all the "good" music so hard to find? Radio needs to recognize this talent and get it out there....
