Yes, I own and love "Mannequin" and "Blue Desert" and even "A Hole In the Wall", but if you give this a chance, it has all the charms of the aforementioned. "This Independence" is one of the greatest songs I've heard in years, and apparently Manhattan Transfer agrees as they cover it. This has a techno eighties feel to it, different from the smoothe LA Jay Graydon production of Blue Desert. Interestingly enough, I saw Jay Graydon live in Hollywood one night (years ago) and Marc Jordan was standing right next to me! He is a very nice, super talented guy. This recording is essential.
