Thanks Martin for digging this gem! Seems this record is literally forgotten: not even "allmusic.com" knows about it. Shame rather since Richard gives us a nice bunch of ballads and uptempo classics such as "Free" which has to be part of every serious westcoast collection. Richard is known for penning songs like "Mandy" or "Looks like we made it" for Barry Manilow or "I'll never love this way again" for Dionne Warwick. You'll find "Where are they now" and "Somewhere in the night" here that have been hits for Maninlow also. I like these versions better ;-)... Richard's voice may be a bit weak but it fits quite nicely to his songs. If you find this LP which I think was only released in GB: get it!
