Lava - Alibi. Lava has done it again, lots of great tracks. I have it difficult to choose wich one of those 11 tracks who is my favourite. Great melodies and as usual a wonderful voice of Egil Eldøen. Lava is one of the best WestCoast groups today! Highly recommended, if you have a chance to buy it, do it!! 9/10. / Bengt

Eldoens voice seems to just get better and better. Very nice album with several really powerful tracks and a great production (loud and clear, but not too much compression). I love the way lava are unpredicatable in their style thesedays. They will play many different styles of music but always so well and alibi is definately an album where they experiment in this sense. Hopefully the band's back catalogue is on it's way. The first three albums were never released on cd. I never heard the debut but 'Cruisin' is very good and 'prime time' (the album where egil eldoen joined the band as singer) is incredible. The music is out of this world. Also fire from 84 is a masterpiece. I am still waiting to get the rhythm of love, which some say is maybe the best album they ever did. Alibi is a great cd
The Lava's new album "Alibi" is now getting acclaimed 2 years after their comeback album "Polarity" (2003), which filled a big gap of 14 years since the late 80's album "The Rhythm of Love". The norwegian AOR/Westcoast group, Lava was formed as a instrumental band playing jazz/rock in 1977. After the self-titled first album "LAVA", the band reformed with 5 new members and released the successful 2 album "Cruisin'". In 1983 Lava became Randy Crawford's regular backing band and toured extensively for a period of 10 years around the world. . Lava also received a norwegian Grammy for their 4th album "Fire" (1984), and topped the charts with the 5th album "The Rhythm of Love" (1989). The tragic loss of Sigurd K?hn (sax) in the Tsunami early this year has made a deep impact on the band. The new album "ALIBI" is dedicated to Sigurd, and the song "Tears Are Not Enough" is written to explain some of the feelings and thoughts of losing a close friend and great musician, says bass player Rolf Graf.
Once more a High Class Album of the Norwegian "Toto" Really demanding compositions perfectly well-functioning with a great production. Egil Eldoen's Vocals is done like for this kind of music. Perfectly
