Will´s version of the Toto song Georgy Porgy is a masterpiece. Smoothly with a nice jazzy groove.
Cool jazzy CD, with some great tracks in "Maryanne" and the "Ballad of Bill and Gretchen". Also an AWESOME cover version of the old classic "My Funny Valentine".
In Japan this kind of music played by WILL LEE is called A.O.R.The sound is characterized by the mellowness and softness throughout the CD.This famous studio session bass player can sing, shout, compose. His taste is so sophisticated and polished. Sometimes he funks sometimes he rocks, that is, so many musical elements are absorbed in this CD.Moreover, sense of humor can be heard on track 8.This is the only WILL's solo CD released by GO JAZZ label.I recommend this to all the fans of BEN SIDRAN.
