Your comments about this record:

That schmuck Raynor! He stole every one of those songs from MY 1979 release “Get The Freak Outta My Face” on Bipolar Records. It was a huge hit in Sweden. Or maybe Iceland, I can’t remember. I have a steel plate in my head. If it wasn’t for me Raynor would be sittin on a street corner in poopy pants, a three-day growth of beard, a blues harp and a tin cup that says, “will blow harp for food.” Either that or he’d be a real estate agent in some Podunk Palookaville in the Northwest. I’m contacting my attorney as soon as I can get to the prison phone. Raynor hasn’t heard the end of this. By God there will be mule dung hitting the fan over this one. Sincerely yours, Eldorado “Three Fingers” Eck Of Eldorado & The Eck Masters Rahway State Prison, Rahway New Jersey (Available for gigs when I get out in two years) PS Even though you stole my songs Dave and set me up on this last bust I still think you’re a pretty talented guy. You sing OK and play OK and write the odd good song. By the way, is that guy’s body still buried in yer back yard? You know...old what’s his name? The guy in the steamer trunk.

This record is a real Westcoastpiece, great songs and the man sings like Greg Guidry, nice! You can get a cd-r copy at Target records, buy it now!

Dave's voice reminds me of Larry Gatlin, but Dave is also an outstanding producer, recording engineer, composer, and just a killer guitarist. This recording is just a tiny glimpse into a huge talent.

I have known and had the pleasure of playing with Dave Raynor off and on since the early 1980's and I can say without a doubt that he was then and is still now one of my all time top favorite singers ever. He is also a talented writer, producer, and all around world class musician that needs to be heard. Sincerely, Ron Foos (Bass guitar for Bill Medley, Paul Revere and the Raiders, Randy Bachman and more.)

Hi Dave, Sounds good. Kind of in the TOTO grove. thats pretty good!

I had the distinct pleasure of playing and singing on this record, and it has always been a source of pride in my career to be associated with my friend Dave. He is in my humble opinion one of the most talented and accomplished guitarist, vocalist, writer and producer that has ever emerged from the West Coast music scene.

Let’s talk westcoast: “Rain Or Shine” was released by DAVE RAYNOR back in 1981 on vinyl only and became a very sought after rarity, sold for almost 150,- US$. DAVE RAYNOR himself transformed this album from vinyl to CD-R. And it’s really worth having, cause “Rain Or Shine” contains 8 tracks of fantastic Westcoast, starting with the opener “The Way It Used To Be” that brings some EAGLES to my mind. “Leave Me Alone Tonight” reminds me of GREG GUIDRY in 1982 while “I Can’t Take It” sounds a lot like ROGER VOUDOURIS and MICHAEL OMARTIAN in the late 70's and “You Got It” coul’ve been taken from a MICHAEL MCDONALD album. By the way: no one other than FRANKIE BLEU is featured here as guest musician. Anyway: “Rain Or Shine” contains Westcoast at its best and you better go for a copy of this gem, before it’s sold out!
