Your comments about this record:

The first and his best album released in 1984.Time flies. This is the only time he had a real producer in my opinion. This is his only major label released and it shines through. This album has it all.Good songs, great sound grear musicianship and Tommy LiPuma.Itīs a bit strange that Mr.Ruff never has released any more album on a major label. He defenitely got the skills. But heīs the guy that seems to enjoy a live performance better than the recording situation. But Once In A Lifetime is the exception to the rule. His best album by far !!

Truly one of the classics. Ruff in his early days sounds just as good then as today. This is an album I bought several years ago, and it continues to surprise me. Everytime I listen to it, I get another favorite song. This is really good songwriting!!

Michael Ruff's first album was released on Warner Bros. in 1984. I have been searching for this CD since that time and finally it's there. It shows Michael's remarkable talent to write and play both ballads and uptempo songs. It has the first (and definitely not last but best) version of 'More than You'll Ever Know' a song Michael seems to repeat on almost every album. The musicians are top-notch. Overall, this is my favourite MR-album. Buy it! It's a shame WB did not release more MR stuff which would have made it a whole lot easier to obtain his records.
