Beautiful and catchy songs. Completely different than the first album 'ONCE IN A LIFETIME'. This one goes more into pop/rock direction. The line-up speaks for itself.
Brilliant 2nd album from Ruff. Although only 7-track it is still maybe my favourite of all his cd's. Fantastic sound and energy in the performances. Only 1000 copies were made in the american release, and the france release...with different cover art.....1000 copies also?? (if anybody knows how many of the france oner were made please tell me. Ultra rare and hard to find cd that is a shame because it is a truly essential album
Just to sort things out. The paper sleeve version (referred to as remote keyboard version) was the first one to be released. As already said it was released to be sold at gigs in L.A and for promotional purposes. I´ve never heard a number of how many copies that was made. Later on it was released as a jewelcase version by LA CaliFusa, that I think was a shortlived French label( They also released versions of Bill Labounty s/t 1982,Marc Jordan "Blue Desert & Mannequin" )
some info.... according to a rather reliable source, there were 1000 made of the original ltd release (which although pressed in USA..actually says on the back above the ltd edition number, "distributed by witness france" so was somewhat for france also?) and then there were a thousand or possibly less of the remote keyboard cover made which were created to sell at gigs after the original ran out). That's the info I got. So it is in fact probably more like a ltd to 2000 cd's. Hope this helps. In other information, I believe you can actually hear all the songs off this cd on the japanese 'best of' cd called 'michael ruff- girl like you' which although now out of print is not that rare to find on ebay. Though I am not 100% positive of this fact, cause I never owned the 'girl like you' cd
