Sorry, the solo is by Graydon. Appologies.

Dara Sedaka -I'm Your Girlfriend 1982 Produced by David Foster Dara Sedaka is the daughter of the famous singer/songwriter Neil Sedaka. She first collaborated with David Foster on the single “My Guy” that was released in 1978. The album, “I'm Your Girlfriend” contains both great ballads such as the Dara and Neil Sedaka composition “Goodbye” and heavy rockers as the title track. As usual David Foster has done a strong production in the best Chicago, Peter Allen style and has brought in great muscians as Mike Landau and Steve lukather on rocking lead guitar and Jerry Hey with his wonderful horn playing and arrangements. Foster has only written one of the tracks “Huggin’” but has left his own personal sound on the entire record. The background vocals are awesome but what could you expect from two great vocalists as Steve George and Richard Page. Candian rock hero Bryan Adams has co-written the song "Try To See It My Way" and provides some guest vocals on it. The absolute highlight on this album is the uptempo song “The Real Me” that combines, great keyboards and great lead and background vocals. Mentionable is that the track “Angel Queen” also was on the soundtrack of a japaneese animee movie. Allthough Dara doesn’t have on the best voices in the game, she uses her abilities visely and together with David Foster’s producing skills have created magic on this real westccoast gem. The strenght on this record is it’s melodies and the brilliant musicians. “I’m Your Girlfriend” was only released on LP in Japan in 1982 but was recently re-released as a cd. The cd is a must for all westcoast lovers. Buy it and get amazed! 5/5 Other similar records: Mariya Takeuchi -Miss M, Peter Allen -Bi Coastal

Great stuff. Check out the Landau solo on "Keep Me In Love With You" and the rit preceeding it. Slick overload!

I just bought this one and I have to say I wouldn't be that positive compared to what you can read here. Yup, it's got the tipycal foster sound, but only on three songs. Actually, the first two cut of the record are the reason why you can have it and not regret it. The rest is way too rockish and pretty uninspired. Ok for the ballad goodbye maybe... Still, a fabulous list of musicians, the joy to hear background vocals by Pages, and as I said, two excellent tracks.
