Your comments about this record:

the only thing about this cd that is bad is all the songs were not new, but Im glad for the new 6 and they are really good. they are not the old sound from the 70's but they are good . he has gone a new way on some of the new songs and they are very good with a little twist here and there with a sound he has never done before which is good seeing this is 2006, I hope tho that he goes on tour to sapport this cd cos he would sell a lot more if he did.Is this something your need to have ? Yes!

Thanks for that, didn´t know that Gino Vanelli is still active. And his voice - in a positive way - sounds like in former days!

In 2005 Gino got a new record contract with Universal in Canada and fans all over the world started to hope for the return of “the old Gino”. The first idea was to release a “Best Of” album with remastered songs from mainly the seventies and eighties. During the process somebody said that it would be nice if one or two new songs were added to the CD as well. So Gino began working on “pop-songs” for the first time in years. Of course the result was much more than 2 songs and also the quality was so high that the decision was made to include 7 new songs together with 7 remastered oldies. Here it is and I’m really happy to have a couple of new songs from the man. I would have preferred to have a 14 track all-new album but as long as I know that he’s back I can wait for the next original album. The new songs are typical Gino pieces, maybe a little on the softer side, but then again he isn’t a 20-year old rebel anymore. Was he ever? The CD is filled with high quality music and raises my hopes for the future. Maybe his new record company can manage to get the unreleased 1982 album “Twisted Heart” released. I will never stop hoping.
