Wow-Johnny-it was a pleasure to listen to some bits of your music. It brings back some wonderful memories of my childhood with my dad (Bruno), and you all in Puzzle. I was thinking of my dad and found this. Thank you for the memories. Hope you are well.
Martin, Wanted to let you and your fans know that my album "Anything You Want" is being released on CD, December 2nd in Japan by a record lable called P-Vine. It will be available for purchase on Amazon.com and Tower Records/Japan. Again, I can't thank you enough for all your help in promoting my music. Your friend, John Valenti
Hello, Mr. John Valenti! I am Japanese music fan. Today I heard your music for the first time in the store, and I was so moved and I bought this CD. If possible, please let me know who wrote each song, because there is no information about it... Anyway, thank you for the great music! I love it!
John Livigni a.k.a John Valenti is sometimes called "White Stevie Wonder" because of his voice and vocal style. John Livigni's professional career was stared as a lead vocalist / drumer for the all white soul band "Puzzule" which released 2 albums in early 70's for Motown. In 1976, John released this first solo album "Anything You Want" produced by Bob Cullem. the producer of both "Puzzle" albums in 1976 for Ariola Records. On this album, John penned 7 songs out of 11, which were really good mellow-blue-eyed-soul tunes. In 1980, John embarked his second solo album for R with October 1980 USA release schedule. However, after all this second album "I Won't Change" never released in the States but released only in Japan in November 1981.
These two clips sound amazing! I loved your work with Puzzle Mr. Valenti. And yes as my last name suggests I am related to Bobby Villalobos from Puzzle, I am his nephew.
