Romantic love songs from Joseph Williams. This album were ready to release in 2002 but deleted by the label. Now it has found its way again, so here you can hear classic songs earlier performed by artist like: Boz Scaggs, Richard Marx, Vanessa Williams, Brian Adams etc. The music is more or less unplugged, with Joseph Williams and a piano as backing.
Off course the songs aren't original or new since they all are covers. But I just love Joseph's voice, he was THE voice for TOTO and even though most of his solo-work sounds a little too polished for me, he is one the (if not THE) best Westcoast-singer around. Two Of Us is a very romantic album on which Joseph shows he still has got an amazing voice. Maybe not for the average music listener, but a very nice album for lovers of romantic songs and Joe's voice.
This is Romantic Love Songs collection album featuring Joseph's tender voices basically With only a piano as backing music. Joseph beautifully covers great tunes such as Boz Scaggs' "We Are All Alone", Richard Marx's "Now and Forever", Vanessa Williams's "Save The Best For Last", Bryan Adams's "(Everything I Do)I Do It For You", and Celine Dion's "Because You Loved Me". Basically, this album must be produced as the follow-up to West Coast All Stars, A Capella project featuring Joseph with Bobby Kimball, Jason Scheff and Bill Champlin (or Tommy Funderburk). Very simple production, but very rich vocal of Joseph makes this project alive. Just enjoy Joe's world.
Smooth and simple! Just a piano, Joe's voice and some background vocals. That's a simple but wonderful combination to listen to while relaxing with a glass of wine in your hand... Cheers! I especially like the version of REO's "Can't Fight This Feeling"...
