Lauren Wood started her professional musical career as a member of the group Chunky, Novi & Ernie, who had released their first album produced by Ted Templeman under Warner Bros in 1973. (In 1977, the group also released "Chunky, Novi & Ernie".) But they did not get commercial success. So Lauren restarted as a solo singer and released her 1st album "Lauren Wood" in 1979, which ranked #24 on US album chart. The best song for me is "Please Don't Leave" with Michael McDonald on harmony vocals - great!
