Urs - Somebody New. Contante & Sonante released their second record, this time with the songwriter/producer Urs Wiesendanger! Like the release with Steve Dorff this is a 1000 copies release, and you have to hurry to get a copy. You will find great vocals by Warren Wiebe, Michael Sembello, Bill Cantos and Frank Ådahl. AMAZING Album! Every Tune is a KILLER. Who's that Urs Wiesendanger...? Great Songwriter! Why don't we know more of him?
I regret not to have discovered Urs wiesendanger's Somebody New earlier! What a terrfic album! The musicians and vocalists are top-notch, and every song is memorable! I'm sure 3-4 of these songs will soon become Westcoast classics. "The Final Reason Why" is one of the best songs and there are simply no words to describe the feeling it delievers ...man, what a solo by Mike Landau !!! I love it !!! Definitely a must-have for us the Westcoast music lovers !!!
Another great album similar to David Foster's RIVER OF LOVE. Warren Wiebe and some woman I've never heard of sing the title song and add a jazzy version after. Kudos to Contante and Sonate for helping keep Warren's memory alive with these recordings. Now if only they could do an entire album of Warren's previously released and unreleased work we knew he'd be happy.
